Now that Clint has gotten over his bout with COVID-19, we can get down to talking about finding your group, your tribe, your community within the larger camping scene. You’ll find shared interests, support, learning, and so many other benefits when you find the right RV group for you! So let’s talk about making friends, Clint’s return… and the new truck he arrived in!
Alright, let’s convince some people to find rallies and camping groups in 2021!
First off, let’s get the obvious out of the way… There’s a Facebook group for any type of camper out there. So, that’s a good, easy access route to find your crowd if you’re just starting to search for community. Some of them are really good and active. But, if you want better organization and maybe some more specialization, dedicated clubs that aren’t solely run on Facebook may be the way to go.
The Big 5 of the General Interest RV Groups are:
- Escapees
- Family Motorcoach Association
- RVillage
- North American Family Campers Association
- Family Campers and RVers
RV Organizations that focus on getting discounts for members often have some built-in community and destination benefits. We won’t spend long here, as really they’re best at being the “Sams Club” or “Costco” bulk-savings discount options for the RVing crowd. So, here are the big players in this segment.
- Good Sam Club
- Passport America
