If you haven’t heard of MDC USA off-road trailers yet, you’re about to! MDC has been building the ultimate off-road travel trailers for more than 15 years in Australia, and recently, they’ve expanded their products to the U.S. Princess Craft RV is proud to carry the MDC brand! In this episode of RV Small Talk, we’re catching up with Vaughan, owner of MDC, to pick his brain on the product and how it came about. With a true entrepreneurial mind, Vaughan was determined to create a product that would allow travelers to escape with confidence. But what does that mean? Every MDC camper owner can be confident in their entire journey – departure and return.
Let’s Talk History
After several years in the pop-up camper market, Vaughan decided to build their first hybrid caravan. One standout feature of MDC travel trailers is the addition of an outdoor kitchen. This allows you the option to either cook inside or outside, depending on weather conditions.
As they started building their hybrid caravans, they had to meet Australia’s strict compliance regulations. Through learning and adaptation, MDC tailored its designs, building stronger, tougher campers that have earned their reputation over the past 15 years. And of course, you can expect the same level of compliance across their U.S. products.
Over time, MDC grew to become the largest off-road manufacturer in Australia. Today, with 170 employees and eight locations across Australia, they have brought their expertise to the U.S., partnering with dealerships to promote and sell their campers.
Vaughan lives and breathes MDC, pouring his passion into the industry. He is committed to producing top-notch products for off-road enthusiasts, and his dedication shines through in the high-quality craftsmanship of every MDC trailer. Plus, he lives the overlanding lifestyle! You can often find Vaughan around the outback, exploring new sites and ways to explore with the MDC travel trailers.
