European Truck Camper
.Meet Alistair and Viv, husband and wife duo traveling across North America in their European truck camper. They originally came by Princess Craft RV during their journey for tie-down upgrades. After meeting them and hearing all their incredible stories, we knew we wanted to take the opportunity to have them share their truck camper travels and much more with others.
Alistair started his first truck camper build to go on his 1985 GMC truck. During this time, they bought a travel trailer to start on their new adventures right away.
After their retirement in 2014, they were ready to jet off on their next journey in a new Fiat Ducato campervan so they rented out their house, packed their bags, and began their truck camper travels. They visited all around Europe and Morocco before doing a caravan swap to head out to Australia.
After all of their experiences, they knew a truck camper was their next move. They have now been in their truck camper for 4 years, traveling all over Eastern Europe and up and down Spain.
Demountable Cabin By Tischer
The European truck camper design is built with fewer pieces making this a lightweight option for most trucks. The average tow load for a European truck is much less than what we see in the U.S. so the Tischer truck camper was the perfect option for the Ogdens. Since purchasing this rig, they have traveled up and down Spain and have done many overlanding trips along the way.
So Why A Truck Camper?
Convenience was the real selling point for them. They can easily pick up and go whenever they want with a hassle-free setup – they just clip on their truck camper on and hit the road.
Since being in America, Alistair and Viv have explored many state parks with plans to visit Big Bend next after a suggestion from a fellow camper. They have already had some amazing adventures over the last few weeks, and we can’t wait to hear about the places they end up in next!
