Who Says RV Technicians are in Short Supply?

One of the biggest complaints RV owners have is their experiences with RV service centers. They don’t like the slow turn-around times, and there’s ample reason to suspect expertise and training are inadequate. A big issue… not enough available and trained RV Technicians.

Well, Princess Craft RV, home of the RV Small Talk Podcast, has brought in RV Service expert and trainer, Bruce Heidelmark, from Dealer Pro Training, to train up our service department and RV technicians to really meet our customers’ needs. While here, we nabbed Bruce for a quick interview on the RV Small Talk Microphones!

Topics Discussed

In our discussion with Bruce, we’ll be looking at why RV dealerships bring in people like him to train up RV service center personnel. Then, we pivot to the issues dealerships face in finding the quality and skilled professionals we need to get people’s RV back to travel and service. Finally, there’s a discussion on what the industry can do to start preparing the next wave of RV technicians who’ll keep America’s RVs out enjoying travel.

Guest Hosting Duties this Week?

Also featured this week is Princess Craft service manager, Cody Kneupper. He cut his teeth as one of Princess Craft’s RV technicians years ago. He also joined us in past episodes of the podcast, but this go around he’s helping to host the episode while Lindsay and PJ are enjoying some family time over Spring Break.

So, sit back and joing Clint, Cody, and Bruce for a look at this vital part of the RV experience. Hopefully we’ll all see open roads and travel experiences ahead!
