Have RV Dealerships Learned Anything? episode 182

As an RV Dealership, our dedication extends beyond selling RVs; we aim to help customers realize their dream of embracing the RV lifestyle. Because of this, our goal is cultivating a team equipped with knowledge, skills, and drive! One of the many ways to stay informed within the industry is by attending the RVDA expo in Las Vegas. While we were there, we caught up with the president of RVDA, Phil Ingrassia. In this episode of RV Small Talk we learn more about what goes into the expo and how Phil and team empower RV dealers across the nation to continually evolve and learn.

Striving To Learn And Grow

It’s no secret that the RVers share a love for adventure, freedom, and connection. What drives this community to embrace the RV lifestyle? It’s the ability to choose your path, waking up to awe-inspiring surroundings, and discovering hidden gems tucked away in nature.

However, what truly binds RVers together is the camaraderie fostered by shared experiences and stories shared around campfires. Within the walls of an RV, travelers find a sanctuary—a home on wheels with all the comforts to make every journey unforgettable.

Consumers Benefits From RVDA

The pandemic witnessed an unprecedented surge in RV buyers; dealerships across the US were watching inventory fly off their lots faster than ever. We’re talking about 1.5 million more RVs in the nation than we had in 2019!

Now, when it comes to these home on wheels, they can become well-loved in no time. Between bumping down the road and hitting off beaten paths, these RVs need to be serviced so the journey can continue.

With the increase in the RV community, RVDA made it a priority to focus on excellence in fixed operations. This includes service, parts, and RV technicians. RVDA fills their expo with vendors that help with customer satisfaction and provide courses during the expo that provide learning opportunities for attendees.

Freedom, Flexibility, and Fun

The soul of the industry lies in the collective experience it has promoted; a desire to disconnect and gather with loved ones.

Before, the mantra was to always find ways to make RVs bigger and better. Now, we’re seeing a different trend appear. With the increase in van life and off grid camping, manufacturers are tailoring these rustic camper desires that allow for off the beaten path experiences.

“The core values of RV travel are the freedom, flexibility, and fun that you can have in an RV that really you can’t with other types of travel.” – Phil Ingrassia
